Boi Saving Account Interest Rate
MCLR revised rates w.e.f. (Henceforth, MCLR will be published on 15 th day of respective month). The rate is applicable to the BOI savings account prduct which has a free Internet Banking facility with free funds transfer through internet banking. It has unlimited Internet & ATM transactions however you will be charged Rs.20/- per month if you do not maintain the minimum balance per month. The interest you earn on your savings is subject to deposit interest retention tax or DIRT. The rate is currently 35%. It was announced in Budget 2017 that the DIRT rate would decrease by 2% each year from 2018 to 2020 until it reaches 33%. The tax will be deducted by your savings account provider before the interest is paid to you. Interest rates are subject to change. Hence depositor will ascertain the rates as on the date of placement from the website. Aggregate value of deposits placed by a depositor on the day for an identical tenor will be taken for deciding applicable interest rate.
